What Is My Browser?

Shows the browser, version, operating system, screen, language and public IP address your device reports.

Runs in your browser. The file or text you give it is not uploaded. Free, no account.

How it works

You need to tell a support team which browser, version and screen your device is using, or see what a website receives when you load it. This page reads what your browser exposes and asks our server for the IP address and headers. The whole report sits on one screen and copies in one click.

  1. 1

The page reads what your browser exposes: its name and version, the operating system, screen and window size, pixel density, language, time zone, and whether cookies, JavaScript and touch are available.

  2. 2

One request to our server returns the IP address and the headers your browser sent, so you can see what every website you visit receives.

  3. 3

Copy the whole report in one click to send to a support team.

What it does not do

  • Browsers increasingly hide or freeze details to prevent tracking, so some values are deliberately generic.

  • The reported IP is the address visible to our server. NAT, VPNs and proxies can make devices share an address; IPv6 devices may have distinct public addresses.

When a source is busy or a site does not answer, this tool says so. It never fills the gap with a guess.

Questions

Why does the report show a generic or rounded version?

Browsers hide or freeze details to prevent tracking, so some values are deliberately generic. A version number may be rounded, a platform may read as a general name rather than the exact model. What you see is what the page can read, not a guess we fill in.

Why is my IP address shared with other devices?

It is the address visible to our server. Devices using the same NAT gateway often share it; VPNs and proxies can change it. IPv6 devices may each have a distinct public address, so sharing a network does not always mean sharing a public IP.

Can I send this report to support?

Yes. Use the copy button to put the whole report on your clipboard, then paste it into a ticket or an email. Support teams ask for the browser, version, operating system, screen and window size because those decide what a page can render. The report also includes your public IP address.
