Split PDF

Pulls pages out of a PDF: by ranges, every few pages, or one file per page.

Runs in your browser. The file or text you give it is not uploaded. Free, no account.

How it works

You have a PDF and you only need part of it. This tool pulls out the pages you ask for: ranges like 1-3, 5, 8-10, every few pages, or one file per page. Each part becomes its own PDF in your browser. Download them one by one, or all together as one ZIP.

  1. 1

Open a PDF and choose how to split it. Ranges are written the usual way: 1-3, 5, 8-10.

  2. 2

Each part is saved as its own PDF, in your browser. Several parts come as one ZIP.

What it does not do

  • Password-protected files must be unlocked first.

When a source is busy or a site does not answer, this tool says so. It never fills the gap with a guess.

Questions

Why will my PDF not open in the splitter?

A password is one possible cause. A protected file has to be unlocked first: use the Unlock PDF tool on this site with the password you know, then load the unlocked copy here. If the file opens in a reader without a password but fails here, the copy may be damaged.

How do I write the page ranges?

Type them the usual way: 1-3 for a run, 5 for a single page, 8-10 for another run. Separate each part with a comma, so 1-3, 5, 8-10 gives you three PDFs: pages 1 to 3, page 5, and pages 8 to 10. Choosing one file per page gives you every page as its own PDF.

Can I download the parts one by one?

Yes. Every part is listed with its own download button, and "Download all as ZIP" gives you all of them in one file. If you split one file per page, every page is a separate PDF. The original file is not changed: each part is a new document made from the pages you chose.
