Website Rank Checker

Shows a domain’s position in the Tranco popularity ranking and its movement over 30 days.

We fetch the page for you. Our server fetches the public address you enter and reads the response. Nothing you enter is stored. Free, no account.

How it works

You want to know how visible a site is, and whether that is changing. This tool places a domain against the Tranco list, a daily research ranking of popular domains, and shows its latest rank, its best and worst of the past month, and the movement between them. Up to five domains can sit side by side.

  1. 1

Ranks come from the Tranco list, a daily research ranking that combines several public domain-popularity lists, not a direct count of visits.

  2. 2

You see the latest rank, the best and worst of the past month, the movement, and a chart. Compare up to five domains.

  3. 3

Alexa, the ranking this replaced, was shut down in May 2022.

What it does not do

  • Only the top million domains are ranked. Most small-business sites are outside it, and the tool says so plainly.

  • A rank is relative popularity, not a visitor count.

When a source is busy or a site does not answer, this tool says so. It never fills the gap with a guess.

Questions

Why does my site have no rank?

The tool only ranks the top million domains. If your site sits outside that list, there is no rank to show, and the page says so instead of returning a number. That is common for small-business and local sites. Your traffic can still be steady. The list measures relative popularity across the whole web, not the size of your audience.

What does the rank number actually mean?

The rank is a position, not a visitor count. Rank 1 has the highest position in the combined popularity list. Tranco combines public rankings and is rebuilt daily; it does not count visits to your site. A site can move several places in a month without any change in its own traffic, because the domains around it moved.

Is this the same ranking as Alexa?

No. Alexa was shut down in May 2022, and its numbers are no longer produced. This tool uses the Tranco list instead, a daily research ranking built from public domain-popularity lists. The two were separate rankings, so a rank here will not match an old Alexa figure you remember.
